The stuff dreams are made of: Marco Perego was born on March 1, 1979 in a small town called Salo in Italy. He was a professional soccer player in Italy. He came to New York with a dream of becoming a painter, working odd jobs, until a chance meeting with someone from Sotheby’s landed him the opportunity to create three exhibitions in Italy. Since then, his work has been collected by luminaries including Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, Giorgio Armani, and Lapo Elkann as well as some of the major private collectors in Italy.
